I knew it would be small, but the picture makes it look like the door opens for a cuckoo bird. I wanted a clock for my friend and she wanted one that cuckoos but it makes no noise. I thought surely that for almost $100 it would at least make a noise even with no cuckoo bird. So I paid all that money for a clock the size of my hand (I'm 5ft. tall)that is too small to read from even halfway across the room and makes no noise. It is made of wood, which is nice, but the back is plastic.

      A: There is no cuckoo that pops out on this clock. This clock does not have any movement or noise but the pendulum does swing under the clock.
